Waters House

With the oldest part of the building dating back to the 1790s, Waters House has a long running history in Montgomery County, MD. As with many buildings it’s age, the structure we see today is made up of several additions and construction phases that took place through out the long life of the building. Waters House is made up of 3 distinct phases of construction, including additions and modifications to the slate roof line.

With repairs to the structure planned to start sometime in 2021, Terry was asked to gather visual inspection data from the roof, particularly around the flashings of the chimneys and along the roof line as it transitions from one addition to the next. Enough visual data was captured that a full 3D reconstruction of the roof was possible, as seen here.
